They now require a Capital Project Manager, to oversee a broad range of fields including new concepts, process improvements, energy reduction, environmental and sustainability initiatives. This is a key hire for the business and the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and managing capital projects from inception to conclusion, on time and within budget.

This exciting role would suit candidates with demonstrable experience in managing capital projects, strong stakeholder management along with sound technical knowledge and understanding.

CAPITAL PROJECT MANAGER – ROLE PROFILE

Strategic Capital Projects

Liaise with Site Engineering Manager to ensure all capital initiatives and proposals are in line with the strategic business plans.

Be responsible for Senior Stakeholder Management, Programme Management, Governance and Delivery of all Project Objectives.

Plan and direct all project resources.

Ensures effective interdisciplinary coordination across all business functions, through regular scheduled meetings.

Supervises the challenges of project deliverables and approves the critical documentation.

Participates to Risk Management for all stakeholder concerns.

Ensures that project activity is compliant with project milestones. Alerts project stakeholders in case of unforeseen variation and suggests mitigation measures if needed.

Ensures that the project final dossier is properly prepared and filed and that lessons learned for projects are clearly identified.


Process Improvement Projects

Responsible for a high level of problem solving, with a particular focus on current underperforming processes and methods. Through leadership, approach and application Initiates value engineering and best practice to deliver immediate and sustained solutions to resolve identified areas of inefficiency and underperformance.

Build an effective working relationship with Operations Management Teams and Engineering Teams by providing technical advice and explores opportunities to make improvements to current work practices with internal and external stakeholders.

Supports Project Lead on smaller capital projects and other business projects.


People Development

Lead, manage and motivate stakeholders in line with company values and upskilling project members to deliver according to Group Project Management standards.


General

Participates to the induction process of any new project crew member whilst also taking responsibility for contractor / visitors during the duration of the project

Be responsible for preparing CAPEX budgets, whilst working closely with the Operations Leadership Team to identify opportunities for the project business case.

Ensure that current Health & Safety requirements are always adhered to, in conjunction with current legislation, in addition, to remain abreast of evolving Health and Safety requirements and to ensure that any practical implications, policies and procedures are implemented accordingly.
