OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH ADVISOR – Global Manufacturer
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Health Advisor to join our high profile, global manufacturing client working across their West Yorkshire sites.

-Working with the HR team to develop / implement a rolling 12-month plan for occupational health, including a wellness programme
-Organise and carry out;
Pre and in employment medicals
Job related health assessments
Health surveillance programmes in accordance with the individual job role and responsibilities and aligned with legislative requirements (including spirometry, audiometry, vision screening, HAVS screening and clinical measurements)
Drug and alcohol testing – related to just cause and random testing
-Summarise and present findings of all assessments to relevant team members and / or managers
-Support the health and safety team with risk assessments, routine assessments on workstations, accident management and other inter-related matters
-Provide general advice and guidance relating to; health and wellbeing, returning to work following periods of absence and rehabilitation programmes
-Ensure all equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained to a high standard
-Maintain confidential and accurate records both electronically and paper-based files
-To carry out any other tasks commensurate with this post.
-Understanding and complying with the requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Environmental Permit to the extent it affects your role.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of legislation surrounding occupational health & safety and will have demonstrable experience within an operational environment with a diverse workforce in addition to:
-Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health
-A qualification in HAVS is desirable
-Strong communication skills – written & verbal
-To work in partnership with the health and safety team and other occupational health and wellbeing providers in order to provide an efficient and cost-effective service
-The ability to identify key health issues and assist in the development and provision of procedures and solutions
-Experience in the use of management systems
