PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT – FIXED TERM CONTRACT STRONG POTENTIAL TO GO PERMANENT
Our client is a global manufacturer based on the outskirts of Pontefract. They now require a Process Development Assistant on a 14-month FTC to support the process of the creation and maintenance of finished product customer specifications and supporting documentation on site.

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
·To own the process of the creation and maintenance of finished product customer specifications and supporting documentation on site. To support the site NPD and EPD process as required.
·To own and manage all product customer specifications and supporting documentation, including creation and maintenance of new and existing specifications and documentation.
·To own and lead the artwork process end to end – distributing each version internally, collating feedback and responding to customers with accurate and comprehensive information within the agreed timeframe, when required. This includes submitting for certification (Fair trade etc) for approval
·Responsible for direct contact with retailer developers, technologists and technical managers where necessary to ensure that communications related to product specifications, critical paths and associated queries are provided.
·To support with site NPD and EPD process, monitoring critical paths and following up relevant outstanding actions.
·To support with the factory floor with trials and launches accordingly.
·Check and approve Co-packer and Co-manufacturer finished product specifications.
·To deputise for the Process Development Manager, including with the review and updating of existing process documentation, meetings and day to day work load as necessary.
·Support the Technical Department with Continual Improvement projects and initiatives.
PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT PERSON SPECIFICATION
·Experience of working retailer specification systems
·Experience of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with customers such as retailers e.g. Tesco/Sainsbury’s desirable
·Experience & knowledge of BRC and HACCP desirable
·Attention to Detail
