In May 2023, Adam Fletcher of Ridley & Hall Solicitors had an idea; to bring back the social element of doing business whilst raising money for charity.
With a strong presence in the five towns area, desire to support the local community and passion for fundraising, Directors Jilly Spiers and Sarah Knight of JS Recruitment made for the ideal supporting partners.
Together with Oakworth Financial Planning and Crest Commercial Finance they teamed up to launch Friday Revival.
Friday Revival is a monthly social event for business leaders in the five towns which provides the opportunity to socialise and network whilst raising vital funds for The Prince of Wales Hospice.
Through hard work and the backing of other local businesses they have delivered a series of popular events. The success of these monthly meet ups has been such that the collective has been able to expand the events calendar to include a curry night, summer gathering, après ski evening and visit to the races. All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the Hospice.
The events have garnered support from business leaders across a myriad of sectors in the five towns attracting over 200 attendees to date.
Furthermore, £3,950 has been raised for the Hospice. This money has been put towards the purchase of specialist equipment, including a Cuddle Bed, which has been used to improve the quality of care offered to patients and their families. A Cuddle Bed takes up the same space as a normal Hospice bed but can be widened when required allowing loved ones to cuddle patients and provide them with comfort when they need it most.
