📍 Location: Pontefract (Hybrid Working)

⏰ Type: Full-time, Permanent

💰 Salary: £45,000

You’ll play a vital role in financial operations, ensuring accurate management accounts, and overseeing contractual finance elements. In this fast-paced environment you’ll manage a small team of part-qualified accounts assistants and a credit controller.

Responsibilities as a Finance Manager:

• Produce monthly management and KPIs and month-end reporting activities.
• Accuracy in transactions recorded in their accounting system and project tracker records.
• Enforce processes are followed for timely supplier invoice payments.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, incorporating stock valuations.
• Perform financial analysis report project profitability.
• Automate financial tasks and drive innovative efficiencies. Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
• Preparation of daily and monthly cashflow forecasting and annual budgets.
• Manage a strong finance team.
• Accurate calculation and submission of VAT, CIS and PAYE payments to HMRC.
• Support year-end process, working with external accountants to produce statutory reports.

What you’ll need as a Finance Manager:

• Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts.
• Ability to interpret and communicate financial performance.
• Commercial awareness, AAT qualified, or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with diverse experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Payroll experience is advantageous.
• Construction experience is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
