INDUSTRIAL GAS ENGINEER – BASIC SALARY + PAID DOOR TO DOOR + OVERTIME!

Our client is one of the UK’s leading mechanical and industrial engineering specialists who work with a wide variety of blue-chop customers. They are growing their team and now require a Gas Engineer.

We are keen to speak with candidates who demonstrate experience in either the commercial or industrial boilers / burners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS AN INDUSTRIAL GAS ENGINEER:
You’ll be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and support, on a vast range of combustion equipment and plant.

• Respond to customer callouts and participate in on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot and repair combustion, boiler and process plant machinery.
• Install, commission, and service equipment.
• Test and monitor plant performance.
• Provide regular customer reports and feedback.
• Recommend upgrades and energy savings.
• Develop customer relationships.
• Offer feedback on products.
• Ensure health/safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Travel locally with the occasional overnight stay.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE AS AN INDUSTRIAL GAS ENGINEER:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Gas qualifications; COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1 and CORT1 would be preferred.
• Both electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills would be advantageous.
• Good level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work unsupervised and function as part of a team.
• Capable of working accurately at speed with a wide-ranging remit.
• Willing and keen to undertake relevant training to develop skills in relation to the post.
