We are delighted to be partnering with a leading business who offer a wide range of mechanical and industrial services to the UK energy sector.
As a result of continued growth and investment, they now require an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join their team on the outskirts of Wakefield.
The Pipefitter / Welder will be responsible for on-site pipe fitting and welding as required for the installation of steam boilers and ancillary plant, or other mechanical services.
What’s On Offer:
- Basic Salary £33,000 – £37,000 p.a. DOE
- OTE of estimated £50,000 pa. with overtime opportunities paid at 1 ½ & double time

The Job:
- Assisting the project manager with the planning of pipe system layouts
- Using the appropriate equipment for installation
- Modifying pipe systems as per specifications
- Carrying out inspection testing
- Resolving problems
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues
- Providing customers with regular reports
- Ensuring compliance and health and safety regulations are met
- Participation in paid overtime and weekend work
- Travel across the UK and some overnight stays required
What You’ll need:
Essential:
- Full driving licence
- Field based experience in a pipe fitting and welding role
- Previous experience of working to health & safety requirements
Desirable:
- City & Guilds in plumbing, pipework erection & fabrication
- Welding certification to current British standards
- Safety passport
- Ability to read drawings and plan pipework routes
- A proven mechanical engineering background
- Experience in a customer facing role
